Ethics & Conservation
Fair Chase • Conservation • Transparency
Ethical and fair-chase hunting sit at the centre of Ingonyama’s stated philosophy. WJ Labuschagne emphasises careful shot selection, respect for the animal and a commitment to a clean, responsible harvest. If an animal is wounded, the team recognises a duty to track it and, where necessary, bring the situation to a humane conclusion.
Respect continues after the hunt. Ingonyama reports that game meat is used through established butcheries and contacts who distribute meat to people in need. When trophies are not exported, hides and horns are processed for sale or other use. The intention is to make practical use of the animal and minimise waste.
Ingonyama’s approach is grounded in appreciation for wildlife and the wider hunting experience, including taking time to recognise each animal and its place in the South African bush. Specific conservation projects, quotas or external accreditations were not provided and should not be claimed without further confirmation.
